Bath Guides Enjoy Wembley Gig: Girlguiding UK

Bath Guides Enjoy Wembley Gig On Saturday 7th October, two coachloads of girls aged 10-14 from Guide units accross Bath took to the road, bound for Wembley Arena! Giggles and excitement spread throughout the coaches, with friendly banter about the acts that would be performing when we reached the BIG GIG. Rumour had it that acts Shayne Ward, Lemar, Sugababes, Lil' Chris, Nylon and Orson were to perform!

Once we reached Wembley, we joined the other 11000 Guides from across the country who had come for the performance. FIrst priority was to find our seats - they were in a great location, what a view! Then off to buy souvenirs, including different coloured illuminated rabit ears, and have lunch before the singing and dancing started!

Chris Parker (Spencer Moon from EastEnders) introduced all the bands and he made us do Mexican Waves and screaming contests. The bands were Sugababes, 365, Orson, Aleesha, Lil' Chris, Lemar and Jamelia, but the best was SHAYNE WARD, SHAYNE WARD and yes you guessed it, SHAYNE WARD!!! We had a great time, all of us singing, dancing, clapping and cheering (even the leaders!) What a magical atmosphere, all the glow sticks looked awesome and this was just the first of two concerts that day organised solely for girls involved in Girlguiding UK.

We could hardly hear when we got out, but if we had to describe the BIG GIG in five words then they would be "fun", "enjoyable", "amazing" and a "buzzing atmosphere". We will DEFINITELY go noext year and we can't wait!!!

Rainbow Pirate Fun Day: Bath Division

Rainbow Pirate Fun Day Bath Division Rainbows had an afternoon of fun on a Pirate theme and this picture shows the Rainbows in deep concentration as they carry precious water to their team's bucket. They also enjoyed making pirate hats, learning sea shanties and racing boats across a pond. Before the event the Rainbows were asked to draw pictures of pirates and the highlight of the afternoon was the treasure hunt which lead to the pirate's chest containing a specially made badge incorporating their ideas.

Further photos from the day can be seen here.
