90 Years of the Senior Section:
South East District Senior Section
This year, we are doing 90 challenges to represent the 90 years of the Senior Section. Senior Section is the section of Girlguiding UK for young women aged 14 to 26, including Rangers, Young Leaders and younger Guiders. Trelawney Rangers are the only Ranger group in Bath and would love to have 90 members! We meet on a Friday night from 7-9pm and do lots of fun activities including archery, dry slope skiing, cooking, talking and eating lots of chocolate/biscuits!
We plan and organise our own evenings, which sounds hard but it is really useful to learn new skills giving each member equal responsibility.
Our meetings are a lot less formal than Guides. We are more relaxed and easy going which gives a friendly environment. This is reflected in that we don't wear uniform, except on special occaisions, and we often sit around, have a laugh and tell jokes.
Rangers offers a range of opportunities such as First Aid, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Leadership, International Experiences and lots more.
