St George's Day Challenge: Bath Division

On Saturday 16th April, Bath Guides held an indoor/outdoor challenge day based on the theme of St George. It was a great success with over 50 Guides and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We were put into groups all named after Knights of the Round Table and as a team worked together to complete each task or challenge. Some of these included: archery, feeling inside a dragon and outdoor cooking. At the end of each activity we were given a mark out of ten on how well we worked together to complete it. The group with the most points won a small prize. I think it was a great opportunity to make friends and help each other, along with catching up on some news!

2005 Gang Show fantastic!: Bath Division

If you didn't see the Bath Scout and Guide Gang Show 2005 then you missed a treat. From start to finish it was a mix of songs, dance, sketches and laughter that was a delight to watch. Although it would be unfair to single out any one individual, I have to say that the send up of those irritating mobile phone adds (you know the ones - the yellow bird and the frog that sounds like a motorbike) was genius. Thanks have to go out not only to the cast and crew, but also to all the parents who have supported the cast over the past six months. If you did miss it then then next one will be June next year. Or if you want to get involved in the next one, you must be 9 or over on 1st September 2005 and actively involved in Scouting or Guiding in Bath. Your Unit Leader will be able to provide you with more information about getting involved. (photo to follow)
